Most missions start with your soldiers under concealment, which essentially means that the aliens aren’t aware of your presence. The possibilities are endless, especially thanks to the new Concealment mechanic. However, in some situations, you might want one of your soldiers to charge wildly, sword in hand, at an alien so as to lure them into an ambush you spent half an hour setting up. Cover is of utmost importance, and leaving your soldiers out in the open is bound to end in failure.
It’s pretty simple: with your squad of up to six soldiers, complete various objectives in different missions, all while trying to keep your soldiers alive and the opposing aliens dead.īeneath the simple core concept is an incredibly deep game that has a tonne of potential for strategy, tactics, and even a healthy dose of luck.
